We manufacturer and the following products:
What is tin plating?
Electroplated tin plate, commonly known as tinplate, is a high value-added cold-rolled coated steel produced by coating a thin layer of tin (1.1~15.1g/m2) on cold-rolled thin steel plate. It is said that it was named after a large number of re-exports from Macau to China in the early years. The English name is Electrolytic Tinplate, referred to as ETP or TP.
What is chrome-plated iron ?
Due to the high price and scarce reserves of tin, Japanese steel mills have developed chrome-plated steel (50~150mg/m2) on thin steel plates, which is called chrome-plated iron. Chromium-plated iron is called Tin Free Steel (TFS) in English, and Electrolytic Chromium Coated Steel (ECCS) in Europe
The difference between ETP and TFS
Appearance: ETP has a bright silver-white metallic luster, while TFS has a darker luster;Corrosion resistance: The tin coating of ETP can provide a certain corrosion resistance, but the chromium coating of TFS is extremely thin and basically does not provide corrosion resistance, so TFS is not suitable for long-term storage;Paintability: The adhesion between TFS surface and paint is better than that of ETPWeldability: TFS has no self-welding capability, so it cannot be used to produce three-piece cans, only top and bottom lids or two-piece cans.
Order elements
The order elements for tin plating generally include: standard, grade (including information such as steel type, quenching and tempering code, annealing method, such as MR T-3 CA), size (the default order is thickness*width*length, if there is a letter w, Indicates that the size is the width), amount of tin plating (A/D should be added as a marking line mark for tin plating with poor thickness, if there is no marking line, no marking line), surface, order quantity, etc.;When ordering tin plating, you must confirm the end use with the customer, such as can body, ends, twist off caps, crown cork, EOE, etc.;When ordering tin plating, you must confirm the contents with the customer. Special contents such as milk powder, high-protein foods, mushrooms, fruits, etc. have special requirements for steel factory production
